Cinema4D Building Generator 2.0

The Cinema 4D Building Generator creates randomly generated buildings in various sizes and shapes. You can quickly apply your own facades, elements, and shaders, and add new shapes to the collection using splines. In comparison to version 1.0, buildings are now generated randomly from a pool of splines and do not need to be manually constructed.

Additionally, windows are no longer represented flat as textures but convey more depth through the use of 3D lights and foreground and background textures.

The package includes various facades, over 150 advertising banners, trees and bushes, rooftop elements, and columns.

How to use

How to add Shaders: You can add your own shaders to the material pool, which will then be used randomly or selectively for the building.

How to add your own Shapes: Add your own floor plans as closed splines. The building consists of a main shape (Main), an additional shape (Base), and entrance areas ('Entrance') that determine the locations of stairs, columns, and entrances. Use the attached 'Shapes.c4d' file for creating the splines.

LVL Shifter

The building comprises two versions of floors (A and B). In version A, balconies can be added, while in version B, the floor can be shifted inward. The order in which floors A and B are listed can be changed using the "LVL Shifter" menu. Additionally, closed walls and the offset of the upper floors can be adjusted here.

Finalize Buildings

Once a building is designed to your liking, it needs to be combined into a single object. To do this, start by selecting the "Connection Mode" option (windows and interior areas will be randomly positioned at this stage). Then, choose the "Building Mesh" object and execute the "Connect Object" command.

Your building is now complete, and you can generate additional ones. If you plan to generate multiple buildings or an entire city, it is recommended to deactivate trees, as they consist of many polygons. Instead, consider incorporating them as render instances in Cinema 4D for more efficiency.

Signs: The facade labels consist of individual syllables randomly combined. The probability of a name recurring is very unlikely (18x18 + 31x31x31 + 30x30x14 = 42.715 variations)
